Received my TBM today.  Can't read my the mag yet.  Saving it for next weeks plane ride to Colorado for Elk hunting.  That article on shooting from horse back is calling my name.  Must resist. ahhhh!

Do you guys save all your issues?
To tell you the truth with F&S, Deer and Deer Hunting, TBM, American Hunter etc. I find that I've grown bored and/or too busy with hunting stories but still live to hunt. I have several TBM's I haven't read more than an article. Anyone like me on this?

I have stopped buying most mags, curveman, but I still get and read TBM.  It took me a month to read the last issue of one of the ones you mentioned.  Same old stuff.

Curveman, I'm that way with several other hunting magazines. But I save all my issues of TBM. I do the same thing with the Bugle, the magazine of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. In my opinion Bugle and TBM are the two best hunting magazines available. I frequently find myself referring to back issues for a particular article.

I'm kind of with you on that Curveman.  I've subscribed to TBM for over 8 years and it seems like the same stuff is starting to resurface over and over.

Oh well, I still enjoy reading it but I don't devour it like I used to.

Dang!  How do the fellas the next state(s) over get theirs before me, living here where they publish TBM?  Maybe tomorrow!  (Greedily rubbing hands!).  

I do save all my TBMs, but other magazines get recycled after (maybe) cutting out and article or two...

TBM is the only mag I subscribe to.  I also a WA-OR hunting mag.

I think if TJ and Don did some hunting in PA, VA, NY, MD, NC, etc. they would gain a better understanding of writing to include folks east of the Mississippi.  Still like the magazine and wish I lived in Montana like Don.

Mine didn't come in the mail today yet.... still waiting.  It's always fun to see who gets it first.  

Seeking, I have met with TJ, Don, and the Davids a couple times.  Great fellas.  The problem is that while the eastern side of the US has more trad hunters, giving up their elk, mulie, etc. time to come hunt whitetails is a hard thing to do.  The other half of the equation is that oftentimes the whitetail stories are pretty similar.  That's not a knock, by the way.... it is a ton of fun to get out and sit on a stand for whitetails....

But I'd do what Hogtmaer suggested, invite them out there and show them what they are missing OR, write your own stories.  They love to get new writers in the magazine and it just might make you enough money to purchase a new custom bow, or some new stands, etc...

I've cleaned this thread up,so please refrain from talking about the catalog that comes with this issue....it will not be allowed! Believe me when I tell you, Trad gang has good reason for this.....

Please go ahead and talk about TBM all you want though. They support traditional archery's "heart and soul"......I think it's a great magazine!!

I get TBM for the great articles by Fred Asbell, David Petersen, Dave Sigurslid, as well as the various ad sections. The hunting stories are, well..., what they are always the same: a little bit like reading a police report   :D

I get TBM but quite honestly, I haven't read the last 5 or 6 issues. The only mag I read cover to cover is PBS Magazine. Lots of stories by guys  who are not professional writers. Just bowhunters who LIVE for bowhunting. You can feel it in the articles.
