For me its gotta be "Louisiana Saturday Night" by Mel McDaniel.  A local radio hunting show always starts with this tune at 4 am when I am driving to the hunting camp.  I can remember hearing it when I was 7 riding with my dad to go bang up some rabbits.
rings back great memories.

You can hear the song here:

Hey Guys,
I would have to go along with bakes168 on Chad Slagle's music. I am a huge Beatle's fan but I listen to Chad's "High, Wild and Free" CD probably more than anything for the last year. I think my grandson and I know every song by heart now. Chad's Fred Bear tribute, "Man in the Borsalino Hat", ranks with me right their with Uncle Ted's.

sswv I second Hank Williams Jr cause country boys can survive    :archer: . Is it just me or does a good song on the way to the tree stand put you in the zone. also the mossy oak song by tracy byrd is probably one of the only songs that will make me cry. Makes me think of my dad. Anyone ever hear it?

Ole Slewfoot.  Sing it with me...

"High on the mountain tell me what do you see
Bear-tracks bear-tracks lookin' back at me
Better get your "bow" boy before it's too late
Cause the bear's got a little pig and headed through the gate
He's big around the middle and he's broad across the rump
Runnin' ninety miles an hour takin' thirty foot a jump
Ain't never been caught he ain't never been treed
And some folks say he look a lot like me

Yee ha !
