60" Sky Archery Rogue...my first "new" bow...

Commitment is like bacon & eggs; the chicken is involved, but the pig is committed....

My 58 inch BlackCreek Banshee. You can pay a lot more for a bow but in my opinion not end up with a lot more bow. For the money you can't beat Jim Gaineys BlackCreek bows.

The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

One hour of life, crowded to the full with glorious action .... is worth whole years of those mean observances of paltry decorum, in which men steal through existence, like sluggish waters through a marsh, without either honor or observation

I've owned a bunch of them, and shot a lot more.  But I just received a Fox Royal Crown and it is at the top of the list of any for me.

A 70" 21st Century.If I need a short bow the 62" Turkey Creek gets the spot.

Let's see.  In the last year I have owned, shot, and hunted with the following hybrid bows:

Hummingbird Alpha-Male, 62" 50@28
Treadway takedown, 58" 49@28
Kohannah Fury Longbow, 62" 49@28
Martin Savannah, 62" 50@28

My favorite, go-to bow of this style is........................................................

The lowly, so called "production" Savannah from Martin Archery.

Any one of the several I've made myself that hasn't yet blown up.

It is going to be my New Treadway Forward handle design...

Matlock Predator X Longbows. Fast and smooth, these bows are awesome. Somewhat overlooked in my opinion. Milt Beens at Wildcat Canyon Archery introduced me to these bows and they just fit right to me. If my BW PL III wasn't a takedown, it would definately qualify. Great Bows!

I can't pick just one.  It comes down to two that I let get away from me.  A 58", 48#@28" Dale Stahl hybrid longbow, Bocote riser, actionboo lams and Bocote veneers.  The second was a Fox Royal Crown, Cocobolo riser, Actionboo laminations, 62" and I don't recall the draw weight, but I think it, too, was 48#@28".

An old Rasmussen Flatbow.  It fits me well and shoots where I point it.

I just love to shoot those carbon Centaurs!! They are fast and smooth!!
