Really enjoying my Creek at the moment.  Especially being able to snatch it from the jaws of death so to speak.  Like a Turkey (forgive the pun), I sold it in a moment of reckless abandon. Fortunately I was able to buy it back and now it aint going anywhere.

Was wondering who else has one on order currently.  I know Doug had a few hickups but just wondering if he is back in business churning those babies out!!

Moreover - lets hear from all the happy Creek owners out there with some pic's.  I have to rush off to work right now but will try and whack some up tonight when I get home.

Cheers - Sutto

Im not sure if Doug is back up and running yet. I havent talked to him in a while but the last I heard he was still waiting to get some work done to get his new shop up and running.

I really hope everything comes together and Doug gets back up and running.

I had a couple of issues with Doug while I was waiting for my Turkey Creek. Mostly just communication issues, which from what I was told, were simply because Doug fell on some trying times.

I am VERY happy with my Turkey Creek. If/when Doug gets back to building bows, I'd love to have one of his T/Ds.

I wish I had one on order! I have a new widow coming, and it will take me a little while to convince the mrs I am in dire need of another one.

Wow Eric - so you are the one@$%^&??

I have often looked at that bow in the pic's on Dougs site.  It looks so awesome with the Bubinga and Ebony in the riser.  I always wondered who got that bow - am glad it went to a good home.

If I ordered another it would be with that combo.  My new Bob Lee Elite is Bubinga - after Cocobolo, my favourite.

Thanks for writing and sharing the pics.  I have to take some decent pic's of my bow then I will whack them up too.

Mr.Magoo

None on order.  But the mailman just brought me a used one today.  It's a little wisp of a bow.  62" #44@28" double carbon.  I'll have to work up some arrows for it and see how she shoots.

I consider Doug Witcher a friend and Trad Gang brother.I hope he gets everything ironed out and starts building bows again. He made  a great shooter of a bow. Brother Dean, I can't wait to see the one he builds you! Mr Magoo try some 35/55 Gold Tips out of that baby of yours, nice bow.

Mr. Magoo some carbonwood 2000s with 175 grains up front cut to 29"s if ya draw 28"s or so and they will smoke and leave a vapor trail, should be nothing but a ball of feathers going down range. I had one for a short while on loan and it smoked, I just did not like the grip. Shawn

Hey Magoo - your bow is the same as mine - 44"@ 28!!  I shoot 35/55 weighted up front with 75gr then the 125 point.  Like Shawn said - they really smoke out of this bow.

The reason I wrote this thread is because 12 months ago when I ordered my T/C, they were hotter than Grandma's scones on a Sunday afternoon.  Guys had threads on here all the time raving about their T/Cs.  However - other than the odd one coming up for sale - one never hears about them anymore.  They seem to have gone cold and I wonder why?

I really love my bow and it just has that feel and mystique that all of my other, more expensive bows seem to lack.

I sure hope Doug cranks up again - would love another T/C!!!!

Mr.Magoo

Thx for the arrow tips guys.  I'll give 'em a try tomorrow.

Catching the tail-end of "who's the hot bowyer" always gives a chance to secure a pretty good deal.  They get rave reviews, lots of orders are placed and then several float around the used market until they find homes.  Luckily, I've found some good used bows that way and enough folks gushed over the Turkey Creeks that I figured I'd pick-up a low poundage one (if it came along).

Remember to stay out of Hay Street Sutto.

Actually Philip, that's not my bow on Doug's site. But when I saw those pics, I decided right then and there that that was the wood combo I wanted.

I'd be careful.

Doug and I still have unresolved business from Sept '07.

If only he'd return a call or email...
