Ok self bowyers... The next one will be my first self bow... I'm thinking Osage or Yew.
Any suggestions as to a good source for staves.

Also if I understand correctly the most important tool to begin working the stave is a draw knife...Any suggestions as to what type of draw knife I should start with... could I just pick one up a Home Depot or Lowes?

Can't wait to start making my own shavings!

i would start with osage, yew is for later on, way on. check yard sales or flee markets for drawknives, most new ones are no good for bow building. loyd
