Has anyone shot this bow,,, whats your opinion?   And would that 50" bow be fine for 27" draw.

I have a 52" Elkheart Magnum and my DL is 28½". I'm astonished by how well this bow shoots. I bought it specifically for hunting in tight spaces and relatively short distances (inside 20 yards), but to my delight it is one of, if not the most, accurate bows I own, at any distance. It groups the same as my 64" Toelke Whip. The draw cycle is ultra smooth, without a hint of stacking past 29", and no finger pinch. The forward handle and unique limb design  are unlike anything I've shot before. It points naturally and is surprisingly stable. I'm sure that the 50" Magnum would be perfect for your 27" DL. Gregg Coffey is an exceptional bowyer.

thanks for the post,, sounds good to me i really need a very short bow for when Im brushed in on the ground in the ghillie and I even look for those hardwood trees growing up engulfed in young pines i can be covered with pine branches in my climber... I paid the deposit and now its a 14th month wait..

It's a long wait, but worth it. It gives you plenty of time to think about wood choices, options like the different takedown systems, riser materials, draw weight, etc. One recommendation I will make, especially with the Elkheart Magnum, is the G10 I-beam in the riser. Takedown or not, the extra weight in the riser is well worth the upgrade.

A month after receiving my EHM, I got back on Gregg's list. That build is coming up very soon. His bows are that good.

Im definitely getting the G10 and bows with a small riser its mandatory with me now..... back in the day i remember matlock did lead-injected risers as a special option by mouth maybe because it was lead but you could say you wanted a 24 oz riser in yew,, G10 is the next best thing plus you can get a center shot bow or any riser cut you want.

I already see the next bow i want but im dropping that order at denton hill or buying it right there.

Its the 50" bow that really got me dialing greggs phone.

You chose wisely with the Elkheart Magnum. Such a cool bow.
