zwickey eskimos different .

I bought 2 packs of eskimos. way back in the spring. i hunted with them for the season. i bought a scale the other day and decided to weigh my arrows and there was a difference of around 20 grains . i disected the arrows and found two different eskimos. one pack was bigger and 20 grains heavier. is this normal ? one was 132 grns the other 111. one pack was 1.25 wide the other 1 inch. one pack was 2.5 inch long the other was 2.25 long. is this normal for these types of broadheads? Ive never bought tradional 2 blades before. but I did kill a stud of a 6 point. first tradional buck. and my first doe. six point was 4.5 and was bigger than my 130 8 point. i am thankful . best hunting experience of my life , lol. They seemed to shoot the same.

The lighter of the two sounds like an Eskilite got packaged wrong though not identical to your findings.

The above poster mirrors my thoughts...either packaged wrong or perhaps you got a Chinese copy on one set.

If you have the Eskmolites (the 110's) the ferrule should be noticibly smaller as it is built for 5/16' adapters.

The normal Eskimo's (I have several dozen still in the original packaging) have a 11/32 ferrule and sold as 125 grains.... will actually weigh 129 grains to 136 grains BEFORE sharpening. Zwickey grounds down the bevels for the user to finish the sharpening process...resulting in the loss of several grains and to allow the heads to be closer to the marketed 125 grains.

I've never seen an Eskimo that wasn't 1 1/8' wide. The Eskimolites are 1 1/16". Again, I'm betting you have both sizes.

Agree with the other fellas. Not normal. Cricket are normally consistent and great heads and great company.
