New member and hail from Michigan near Port Huron. My archery career began shooting bows with training wheels some 35 years ago. Spent perhaps 10 years using those contraptions before taking up traditional bows. Hunted with trad gear for 12-15 years until a degree of frustration set in; consistency or lack of, misses, work getting in the way etc. The wife went to work for G5 Prime somewhere along the way, so I could buy premium compound bows at a rather deep discount. Thus I was lead back to the dark side for a number of years. I was fortunate enough to be able to retire about a year ago, and made up my mind that I was going to master the string and stick once and for all.
Boy how things have evolved since I was away! YouTube has been the (virtual) shooting coach I needed to really improve and of course this forum is AWESOME!
I sort of forgot how much fun it was to shoot traditional gear! And collect traditional gear! And set up traditional gear! And make / test arrow combinations! And when the wife asks what I plan for the day, I say "play archery"! I'm hooked bad! Again!

Welcome from the other side of Michigan.  :wavey:
