If you have not already, I  heard that Byron Ferguson passed away sometime today due to a massive heart attack. This is all I have heard.

From Terry Harris of The Archery Hall of Fame:

"Everyone, it is with a heavy heart that our archery family has just loss of of the greatest archers in our modern archery history.  My friend and Archery Hall of Fame Inductee has just passed away.  I won't go into any details here but anyone that knew Byron, knew he was a down to earth man who loved archery with all his heart.  Byron had entertained huge crowds world wide, national and international T.V. and did untold benefits to help children.  I miss him already.  Please keep Wanda, Zack and his family in your prayers."

My son and I got to meet and talk with him a couple of times at ETAR. My son was a young preteen at the time but Mr. Ferguson gave him his undivided attention.
R I P sir , you were a legend among men .

What a shock.
I had the opportunity to meet him a few year's ago and he was a joy to visit with.
He will be truly missed.

Technology....the knack of arranging the world so that we don't have to experience it.

Flingblade

Very sad to hear.  I saw him perform at the Deer and Turkey expo in Lansing one year and met him after the show.  He was a great ambassador for our sport and will be missed.  His book "Become the Arrow" was very good; I'll pull it out and read it again in his memory.  Prayers for his family and loved ones.

I was so sad to hear this. Watching him on American Shooter was one of my happiest childhood memories. I was never lucky enough to meet him, but I owe him a lot.  He was a true gentleman.

How sad that on a Traditional Archery site such as this there are Only 14 posts, ( 14! ) honoring the passing of a True Archery legend.
I reckon so

Very sad to hear of Byron's passing. Saw his show many years ago and had the chance to talk with a few years back in Indianapolis. Fine gentleman whose contributions to traditional archery are too numerous to mention. RIP Mr. Ferguson.
