A couple a little ones got some new bows so naturally needed some new arrows to go with. Last night finished putting these together for them on some Surewood kid shafting and I'll bet they'll be excited when they see them.  I got them to fly pretty darn good outa the kid bows so they should do the trick  :archer2:

Great job!  Those are really sharp.  How fun.

What paint and finish and cresting paint did you use?

Thanks,
Chad R

Those look great, Eric!!!!!  :clapper:

When my Little Bear started shooting at 3 years old, I learned the most important thing about kids arrows is the POINT!!! I got him a bunch of wooden kids arrows, 26" with crimp on points. More times than not, they just bounced off a 3-D target. VERY frustrating for him!! :banghead:

I had him draw his bow, and I just grabbed the arrow a couple inches in front of  his hand.
I measured and cut all of his arrows, tapered them, and glued 5/16' 125gr field points on them.
They actually fit very nicely in his back quiver, and the next 3-D shoot, he stuck every target!! :archer:
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

Thanks guys!   I use all Bohning finishes.  Crown dip is Fletch-Lac. 4 coats of clear gloss Bohning sealer over that, then Bohning Crest-Lac for the cresting.   Little fumey with the dipping but you just gotta take the proper precautions.  Mask and fan.
Woodchucker I totally agree with you!  And I did the same with both these guys first sets of arrows.  Unless they are shooting a loose bail at 10 feet,  those crimp ons aren't worth much. They need a real arrow point
