2nd Bird Down
«
on:
April 20, 2025, 03:13:40 PM »
Was fortunate to have been gifted a shot opportunity on a gob. My last 17 birds have been harvested with a Tree Shark. Fifteen have been pass thrus. This guy dropped on the spot and didn't even flop. He was standing on a knoll and the arrow found its way to the woods 20 yards passed the bird.
☆Note: unable to post a pic from my gallery for some reason
A big Gob was a jibblin for 1 1/2 hrs @ 425 yards this afternoon i played the Honstra trumpet for him.He finally moved my way until he was hammering in my ears. He was advancing from behind and was extremely close. Next he started drumming loudly which clued me to which side of the blind he would emerge. He emerged from the woods in full strut then immediately ran and ravaged the decoy. The TGX and Tree Shark again did their job as he dropped and flopped little beside the semi strutting decoy.

Here’s a photo of Scott’s second bird down. In the background you can see why his farm is sometimes referred to by bowhunters as “Disneyland Midwest.”
