Kanati

Got a 58 inch 37@28 inch Kanati coming in September. Never had a long bow in my 35 years of shooting traditional, always had recurves. Should be able to get it tuned and ready to hunt this fall.

In my opinion the bow is simple to set up. Basically, brace height and nocking point position. Contact the bowyer for arrow recommendations, whether it be wood, aluminum or carbon and have the arrows ready to go when the bow comes in so you can get used to how they shoot together before hunting begins.

The Hybrid Kanati longbow should not be much different than shooting a 50s style recurve IMO.I had a 60 inch Kanati and really liked it.

The Kanati longbow is a great bow similar to the Shrew longbow. I killed my best buck with a Kanati and I wish I still had it but it was getting to heavy for me to pull as I started getting older so I sold it. Going from a recurve to a longbow does have a learing curve but I think the Kanati is one of the best to make the transition.

Never owned a Kanati, but have owned and shot a fair number of D/R longbow models. I would have to agree with the comparison to the 50 style recurve. I have found that switching back and forth between recurve and longbow to be fairly easy. I would lean towards to longbow for feel and performance.
