What years did Black Widow offer the MA series?  When did they switch to the current series?  Is there much difference between the MA'a and the current PMA?  Just curious because they look the same to me.  Thanks, Jonathan

The P in PMA just means "precision". I don't remember exactally what year (5-8 yrs ago I think). They went to turning their risers out on a CNC machine---thus the "Presision". Other thanb that and some small changes to the limb design, they are pretty much the same bow.

I bought a MA II in 1984. Not sure when they started the series. I think they went to the PMA in 2003. Hap

I think an MA can be turned into a PMA. I have heard of fellas sending there bows in to be machined to accept the newer limbs.

Silence over speed.  Heavier arrows never hurt.

The MA came out in 1982 as the 25th anniversary model.  If memory serves me right, rarely does, I think that MA is for Maple Anniversary.  As stated above BW will rework an MA to PMA standards so that the "cosmetic" fit of new limbs or risers is improved.  There is no functional difference in the fit of MA and PMA parts.
I'm not lost ... I'm exploring alternative destinations
