Homemade arrow building tools

Quiet a long time ago there was a thread here where many folks were chiming in showing there homemade shaft tapering sanders,  cresting machines, and there may have even been some DIY-spine testing meters.  I believe Rob Distefano was a major contributor to this thread as well as maybe Bill Carlsen.  If memory serves seems somebody had some kind of contraption built around an electric weedeater engine.  Does anyone remember this?  If so can someone post a link?

Musta been Van before his electrotherapy/shopfire.

Mine is a manual model, no motor, no sparks, no shopfire. The reinforcement bracket on the right ensures stability when using the tool as an arrow straightener.

This is a good start.  Now that you mention it though I do believe that Van was also a big contributor to the thread I was referring to.

Here is a link to a build-a-long I did some time back.  There are some low-tech tools in it that I use to make arrows.  Check out page two for a much better tapering jig built by Dustin.
