Would like to start filming some of the hunts myself and friends make. For those of you who do tis what advice would you be able to provide on camera types, camera stand used in a tree, setups etc. I am looking for anything and everything that could help me accomplish this.

Thanks !!

I do self filming.. I have a minidv camera that I mount on a gorilla treepod to hold the camera as I'm in the tree stand...  I fix the pod to be on my right side (right handed Bowman) I start filming when the deer/game is about 50 yards away... once they get to about 30 yards I set the view on a trail/spot where I hope the game/deer will be as I loose the arrow...

Try a dry run the first time you set it up... You can do this now in the backyard.... move around with bow in hand... You can even shoot at a target and film it so you can see it later... This will help in your next set-up...

i will b using the huntercam cradle this year it seems super nice! I have used cheaper treestand attachments for camcorders but they are a pain an never in the right spot u have to move fast an queit. heres the site  www.huntercamcradle.com

when i was in Africa everything was taped with regular camcorder's an the clarity was good

cant wait to see some footage!!!!!
