I have a 40# Indian Archery 62inch recurve. My draw length is 29.5 ". I figure that means I am shooting 43 or 44 lbs. I have Beman ICS Classic arrows with insert which makes it 12.1 gpi. The arrows are 32 inches long. I am using 145gr. field tips. Bare shaft tuning indicates it is stiff spine so I adjusted the brace ht. It measured 6 3/8 inches. The bow is about 40 years old. So I do not have any specs on it to tell if that brace ht is ok. Any thoughts if the brace ht is ok?

I maybe wrong, but I think I read somewhere that the older bow where anywhere from 6" to 7" brace. I'm not a big fan of carbon arrows.. Yes they are tuff, straight & recover faster them Alum or wood.. But not for me...

Others on here will chime in soon to help you out better..
