Good luck NY bow hunters.  Our early northern zone archery season starts tomorrow (09/27). I'm heading for the mountains this morning. Post any hunting stories and pics if you can.  Most importantly, stay safe, enjoy the season, and wear a safety harness if and when you are in your tree stand!  :archer2: :archer2: :archer2:

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Good Luck to all my fellow NY'ers.  Season here in the Southern Zone opens Thursday 10/1
My Hidden Hunter blind has been out and brushed in for over a week. Be safe!
Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.

Hope you all have some great hunts and can share some stories and pics. I had back surgery at the beginning of the month and I'm working my way to a hunting bow  (doctor says I can start drawing a light bow , yea!) so I don't know when I'll be hunting . I'll be looking forward to everyone's adventures even more this year .

Good luck boys. Myself I'm a little apprehensive. Many of my areas are in or near the EHD zone.

Out for the first time today. Saw one 7 pt and two does. I found a dead buck in a creek fifty yards from my stand. I am suspecting is the disease affecting our area.

Bruce M

Is that down in Rockland Cnty area.
Regardless it should be cold enough soon to kill off the nats that carry that disease.

Good luck and be safe.
