How much of a difference (looks, performance and such) between the two models? How much change has the Silvertip undergone? I've been on a Schafer kick lately and have been drooling over the pics in all the Schafer threads here.

I hear you Jerry! I'm pretty sure I caught whatever ails me from someone over here,,, problem is that since so many people here seem afflicted that we'll never know who to blame!

I'm with you, these Silvertip threads get my heart rate up.
I tried one on loaner for a few days, and can't believe I have not just gone and bought one yet.

Just an amazing bow to shoot.
I'm curious what kind of answers your question will get, I have wondered the same thing.

I would have to say that Pauls bows were built to be workhorses and Dave's bows are workhorses with better fit and finish. I personally shoot the originals better but that is my experience only. Pauls grips seem to fit me better, I am sure if I ordered a new tip that Dave would copy the grip though. As far as performance goes I would say the FF bows that dave makes can't compare to an original but I notice little if any difference between the two nonff's. I just bought another original and should have it next week!! I can hardly wait.

Anyone else have anything else to add?

Didn't you just sell a Schafer James?

I ended up keeping it and sold the extra set of Limbs! I might have to sell another one soon though!!
