Early harvest!

Glad to get a few days in a row to hunt.  The does are starting to be chased heavily.  I had barely gotten up the tree and pulled up my bow and pack and a doe passed by close.  Shortly afterwards... He came in fast at 15 yards, and quartering slightly.

I slowely pulled my recurve off its hanger, got into position, pulled and released the string.  The rest is history, the buck expired in about 70 yards.  In all, I saw 6 bucks and passed two smaller ones in close.

It's been a blessed Fall already.  God is so good and I am happy to get this lucky harvest. Hope everyone has a safe and fruitful season! :archer:

Very nice buck!  I'm up in northeast corner of Arkansas.  We have been seeing a lot of chasing for over a week.  Of course gun season opens Saturday.
