Ok guys here is probably a stupid question but until recently I shot a regular dacron string on my bear recurve. Now with my new Tomahawk I have a twist string. Do you wax them as you do any other type of string????
The greatest words a man can hear are, "Will you take me with you Daddy"????

Yes I do but not a frequently as a b50 requires.Less stretch and tougher material.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

I wax my strings when I make them and rub it in with a piece of leather. And them wax when they look dry.Waxing a string helps to keep moisture out.

Waxing also provides some 'lube so the individual strands don't wear on each other as much... helps lengthen their lifespan a bit...

When it feels dry to the touch is a good time to wax it.
