Big Jim's California Buckeye Burl is as beautiful as it gets. Has a natural camo appearance too.

STOP IT Chuck!!!!!! You'll cause me to spend money.  :nono:
Lefties are the only ones who hold the bow in the right hand.

Friend

My preference has been to go with increased riser mass weight over beauty. Big Jim's use of G10 with my own maple riser has proven to provide ample mass wt to be extremely stable and provides a very pleasant shot execution feel.

I have been using a lot of stabilizied spalted maple lately. Mostly I am using the natural color of the wood (only slightly darker due to the stabilizing) but some times blue, green or red.

It is very attractive and each piece unique not to mention more than ample mass weight.

ok what do you think...stabilizied spalted maple and ebony or g10 footed riser, and maple limbs...maybe spalted ...maybe quilted.with Gemsbok riser backing and limb tips...and black beaver tail.

I like the sound of spalted maple and ebony for a riser and just about any limb veneers will look good with that.
For black horn, I prefer to use springbok.. they look nearly the same as gemsbok except there is much more detail... they simply look better.
Thanks, BigJim
