2017/2018 Deer Season Recaps
« on: January 06, 2018, 06:20:00 PM »
Was most fortunate to enjoy 74 hunts this season.
Witnessed visibly both the positive and negative impacts of extensive prep work.

Had a higher percentage of close encounters to hunts, with bucks than season’s past.

Had 47 separate solid shot opportunities on bucks….average distance 14 yards…longest considered 20 yards…did not loose an arrow

Have located five wonderful bucks that have routinely travelled two different locations since the 3rd week in October to present.

Will establish ground sets at both locations within the next month. These two sets are anticipated to be in the top three sets, for targeting mature bucks, of the eight that I typically utilize.

*** Must up my game in getting close to 4 ½ year old and older bucks

***Next season’s serious prep work begins shortly.

This deer season  again, left me continually stategizing and a the burning desire to get in the field to start prepping for next season
