ben, 45# would work for our squirrels up here. i don't have a squirrel bow yet.     :D

jking aside, 45# will please the vast majority of us i would venture to say.

got my trade bow tillered and grip mostly shaped, was shooting in today and after about 100+ arrows,    :scared:  the string snapped on the bottom tip. arrow still hit its mark, was actually lowering it when it let loose. scared the **** outa me. was the last of my string material, so i can't build another till i get to the store for more. might try some b55 instead of b50 this time. found a small unsanded section of the glass on one of the string nocks.    :banghead:

My trade bow goes in AM.

The poor victim will have to do the full draw pic because my draw length is different than theirs.

Hope they can handle 72#@36"

BTW- *******, it should be there on the 10th.

here is what to look for....

Great bows! And the beard ain't too bad either

KellyG

Wow what a collection of awesome bows coming together this push.

Kenny let me know if you get it out tomorrow.

Ha this thing comes in waves..  Great looking bows everybody.  Redbeard I like that riser a lot.

Great looking stuff everybody.  I'm very impressed with every single one.

D

Oh Cabbage don't stain it.  Looks good the way it is.

KellyG

Cabbage I agree with the rest no stain needed.

Didn't have a lot of time today - I'm on nights for the next couple weeks.  Took a few hours this morning after I got off work to sand the riser to 100 grit and shape the butt end of the limbs.  I've really got to get an oscillating spindle sander or something.  This hand sanding crap is getting old fast  :banghead:

If everything works out the way I think it will, I should be done in a week, which is perfect because turkey season starts next week!  Just in time to open my new bow and get her bloody!  :D

Oh, and no stain it is!  I actually thought I'd forego the stain anyway after staring at it while sanding this morning.  That grain on the quarter sawn sycamore just really looks nice.

That's my goal, I'll have you know, and 36" is easy.  I've got one here I routinely pull to 38".  I like it, I'll enjoy shooting it.

My walnut came back today as lams. I plan to glue up ***'s bow this weekend.

Well one has hit the mail.  FYI

D

Did some work on the riser tonight.  Its finally starting to look like a bow.  I've still got some weight to take off though.  Hope I can get it down to what I need.  Here it is rubbed down with denatured alcohol.  I've still got work to do on the overlay to.
