Stay sharp, Kenny.

Roy from Pa

My thumpen list is on the wall, Kenny:) I have one whole wall in the bow shop about covered up wit names.. Don't worry though, DVS is at the top, has been for a couple years now, your # 2, then Coaster, Lee in NY, Pearly, Sticks, and etc...

Javier, the boo is 1/8th at handle to 1/16th at tips. Have found it to work well for me. But someday I might try a real thick piece like I've seen others do on here, but it just scares the heck outta me to try it.. And that Gray Action wood is from Mr. Kenneth McKenzie:) He's not really as bad as everyone says he is:)

I'm thinking bout putten Osage over top of the black horn tips, thinken it will really set it off. What's ya all think bout dat?

Oh and this bow is for the Little Pearly Michigan Drummer Boy. He seen the pictures in a pm and I guess he likes it, so the give away is off...

DEAR , OLD PINK COMPOUND SHOOTING THUMPING ROY,

I am glad to see you have forgiveness in your heart and have taken several names off your list...but is there some kind of bow builders code that says you cant use Action Wood on a BBO??? I am pretty sure that is glass makers material.

Ok Ralph, I just won't tell anyone:)

Roy next time grab the glasses in this pic

and then you can find the sharpie in this pic.

That way you can write more names up there.  Just remember to keep those glasses on so you can read them afterwards.

Javier,
Those aren't glasses. Those are special super magnafing glasses. See how thick the lenses are? Roy probably uses them to get the tiny little flowers that he paints on his bows just right.

Glad too see I'm still #1.

That one looks good roy but I still like curly maple handles better.

Roy from Pa

Time will tell Kelly, it's just something I've been wanting to try, and I'm in need of more curly maple..

Today I spent rebuilding my tillering tree setup. I mounted my 3 inch pulley on a 1/2 inch shaft between two ball bearing pillow blocks bolted to the floor. It's adjustable just by sliding the pulley left or right on the shaft and can be locked down with a set screw onto the shaft where I ground a little flat section, depending on if I am tillering a bow for split or three under. I'm going to take Bowjunkies advice and start pulling the bow string more in line with where the drawing hand placement will be on the bow string. It does make sense to me.. Then I spent more time cleaning up the shop, and it's still a mess:)

My grandpa passed away yesterday at 84. I spent today buying my first suit in almost thirty years. Losing my grandpa makes me
Appreciate the time that I spend with my father and also my kids a lot more.

DVS, sorry to hear about your loss, thoughts & prayers are with you and your family.

DVSHUNTER

Thanks for all your support everyone. It helps a lot. So does bowmaking. I started on a hackberry stave the other night and got it roughed out and kinda bending.  Then I did a little ring chasing on another osage stave I had laying around.
