Had a friend stop by and he took me to a lot that will soon be cleared for building, gonna get my choice of wood from the lot. Time to stock up     :D

Any tips on prepping locust tree staves, not sure which kind but I spied a big straight one with thorns all over. I've cut Osage and hackberry before, just wanting to know if there is any special prep for locust.

I tempered and reflexed a hickory bow while I repaired and flushed the cooling system in my wife's van that overheated n gushed fluid yesterday. That was the beginning of my day.  It ended with changing one of my truck's wheel cylinders that blew while we were on our date tonite!  At least I got some bow work in;)

Yesterday I shot a few arrow put of a new selfbow. I still need to pretty it up before I post it but I'll probably hunt with out after I take one with my new trade bow.

Got the truck and trailer packed up today and we are heading out in a couple hours for a camping weekend Trad shooten and cold beer drinken in WV:)

I started my 5th board bow after a week break from bow making.  Last weekend I had one limb snap while tillering and another split while roughing it out.  That was a bad weekend!

Friday evening I sat next to a Moses lookin fella, drinkin cold beverages in WV.
There was one other handsome fella there as well.
We talked bow building and how to save the world from evil and such. Had a few laughs. One fella stepped over a tree branch that wasn't there before it got dark. Funny, it wasn't there the next mornin either. Maybe the Black and Tan drug it off. He sure was a nice Hair of the Dog.

I pulled the bark off this guy and sealed up the back and cut the ends down a bit. I did another one also.

 

A bit of snake in it.
