And as a fellow Michigander, I can tell you Jim Reynolds has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt to be a trustworthy, first class bowyer by doing it the old fashioned way, he has EARNED it.

Year in and year out, he makes great bows, stands behind them and does a lot to humbly support traditional archery.

Paul it depends on  "what floats your boat". The regular ThunderStick is more of a lightly reflex/deflex Traditional style D longbow. The II and III are heavily reflexed /deflexed[hybrid] style longbow. The III has double taper lams [longer riser]. The Mag is Jim's little guy smaller version of the II or III . The MOAB is the Mother of All Bows Boo cores are standard. I guess Jim  calls it that for a reason. flatlander sorry to hear you didn't buy the bow but the hog trip sounds more important to me too.

I have a Thunderstick II 60# @ 28". Best bow i have ever shot, liked it better than my freinds widow. How does it shoot compared to a MOAB? Can't wait to get my hands on one!!!

Wudstix

I had a TS III which is a step up from the TS II, and a MOAB which pulls 3# more than the TS III and shoots the same 625-30 grain arrows 10-11 f.p.s faster.  Both TS III and MOAB are smooth bows.

I've known Jim for more years than either one of us will admit. Just a super guy!!!

His bows are not only superbly crafted, they possess incredible speed and "shootability".

I just obtained a TS III from the classifieds here and it smokes an arrow, and is a dream to shoot.  Would like to try out a MOAB though.

Have a 62 inch model at home and ordered a 56 inch mag from Jim at the UBM bnquet this weekend.

Jim's bows are top notch and Jim is a pleasure to work with.

I was awfully afeared to go back and shoot it any more than the three arrows I launched. I've had several of Jims' bows and all were top of the line in all areas. I hope you made your purchase and don't mind any moisture you found on it.. I wasn't the only person drooling over them..lol

The road to "Sherwood" makes for an awesome journey.

I have a Mag due any day now.

Jeff.....when I get to shooting again, I'll let ya know how it shoots.  It'll make the trip to Cloverdale...hope you can also.

I have shot several models of Jims Bows....and the 60 inch MOAB is my choice.  I've got 3 and a MOAB 'to go' on the way.
