Happy New Year to all.Things are heating up for the 2nd Annual Bear Quest Bear Hunt JUNE 2008'.There are openings on the week of JUNE 14(sat)-21(sat) 2008'.
Anyone interested please touch base with me or TIPIT (Jeff Springer).
Last year there were 12 TRAD-GANG ers and everyone had Bear action with 10 Bears being harvested with Recurves,Longbows & Self-Bows.Trad-Gang member BARRY WENSEL was quite impressed with the hunt and is joining us this June !!! <--<<

Brent, That's the 2nd week as I think the first week is full.  Right now I know of at least 3 tradgangers in that group...JC, Whip, and me   ;)

We'll let the first week play around and thin some of the small bears out...bigger ones usually hold back for awhile  :D  Doc

I would REALLY like to go on this hunt AND the Idaho one...I just do NOT get enough vacation!

Whip

I think you're exactly right Jeff - the big old boars will be out looking for girlfriends about the time we pull in.  All those guys the first week are just going up scouting for us

Another advantage to 2nd week but certainly not a big one...tippit knife to biggest bear.  Can't depend on those guys in first week from addin' rocks to their bear's weight    Doc

133days, 6hours, 32minutes, 54seconds. Ummmm, I meant to say, I'm not anxious or anything about this trip

You will not be sorry, the camp experience alone was worth the trip...not to mention the great bear opportunities.

Lookin forward to listening to Bowdoc "hold court" and sharing some more of that archery lore I so enjoyed from last year. He's a pretty fair cook too! Steamers again this year Tom???

JC, You know it's never too early to start planning the dinner menu.  Maybe if everyone in the second group wants to kick in, we could be dinning on these  :bigsmyl:

Bear camp doesn't mean you have to rough it all the time!  I know of at least one trad ganger who likes 'em...hint & maybe this would entice him to tag along     Doc

I'm booked for the first week and can't wait. Gonna meet Tom and Bowdoc at the airport and disappear into the woods for a week-no cell phone-no meetings. Tippit, we'll do the best we can to cull the population for you guys. See ya'll in June.                       Grant

tippit

Grant, I hope you get 12 of the meanest ones cleared out for us.  I want to be eating them lobsters and not have to worry about the reverse  :D

Just for kicks if anyone thinks the 2nd week is at a handicap...here are a few of the bears that were Never Tagged but we knew were coming in

I wish I could afford one of these hunts but not enough money in the budget, I get plenty Vacation days.
