My question is what type of aiming is Rod Jenkins, X2, and V-Archer using? Are they instinctively aiming or do they use another method? It sure is great shooting and gives me something to strive for.

snag

That is a good question Greg. I just look at the target at that distance.

I know one night I was out and had a glow dot in the center and my groups were small enough to be all in the center. They were just off the dot. I think concentration on a spot is critical. I plan to go out again on a dark night and use a laser pointer and try again.

V-Archer

Greg,

I use Terry Green's "clock" form and followed Rod Jenkins tips (in one of the previous on-line tournament posts) Then I just focus on the target and release the arrow. I must say with this one I had to warm-up quite a bit before I had it going.

Week 5 - another 42..

This was shot at Archer's Advantage, in Little Rock,AR. Thanks Brent (bgremill)
Thanks also to ks_stickbow for organizing; and Nighthawk for posting my first 4.
Shot a consistent average of 42. I need to make more time to shoot during the week. At least I was shooting, weekends...

I had it going for the first 3 arrows and then like usual concentration and form fell off!

This has been a blast and good for all of us. Thanks for hosting and let's do it again.
Slow down and enjoy life.  It's not only the scenery you
miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where
you are going and why.

Apologies for the terrible pic this week.  Again, I used my Jerry Hill Wildcat... 50.

MYSTIKBOW

Last but not least Wk.5 I forgot to write my score of (51) on the target which was my best for this tourney.

This was fun and somewhat of a learning experience for me since I never shoot paper targets only 3D's. I will join the next one in a heartbeat. Thanks Jeff for getting this going.
I reckon so

When are we going to do the next one?

Pretty typical for me.  Don't know how some of you do it....I couldn't shoot some of these with a compound and release....amazing.  You can see why I keep my kill shots well inside of 20 yards!

If I remember,  I have a 44, 46, 40, 45 and a 46.  Look forward to the next one and thanks for all the hard work.  Steve

Thanks for having this. Kept me shooting.

snag

It is interesting how many of us have 3 pretty good arrows and then 2 fliers.
