I have had a 3-piece for about 2.5 years now.  I am super pleased.  I chose a pronghorn because the smooth, non-complicated look of the riser.  It shoots great and I could not be happier.

My next bow is going to be a 3 piece longbow and I've been seriously considering a pronghorn.  Anyone know how long of a wait time?
Thanks,
Bob

Maybe two or three months, but maybe less. You might call Herb and see how long his "list" is.
I decided to see one of my Pronghorns A 60" 60# one piece. I dropped in weight and just don't shoot it anymore. But my 57# sure gets a workout!

Years ago, I wrote an article about Herb for a now defunct magazine about Wyoming. I should have bought a bow from him, but I only got to play with several of them for the photo shoot. He is a truly nice guy, and his bows are pure class. And if Wyoming Chief, skinfint that he is, has several of Herb's bows, that really says a lot about the value of Pronghorns. I guess I need to give Herb a call and see about grabbing up one of his works of art.

Skinflint?  The reason I have to be frugal is all that retirement money we are paying you.  Set some of those moths free and buy a new bow.

I have two. The first day I shot my 53lb, I knew I'd never sell it and painted the whole thing OD green. It has been my "go to" bow since.
Is it too late to be what I could have been?

Starkman,
I ordered a 3 piece takedown a couple of three weeks ago,.  Herb told me the turnaround was 4 months.

Sure is a lot of talk about pronghorns here to not have any pics!

Boy I sure am glad Herb don't get on here and read this stuff. It would make his head swell up so big it would not fit through his shop door  :bigsmyl:
