I have just finished dipping and cresting my new AD Trad Lite shafts, and I'm at the point of getting ready to fletch.  I'm now indecisive on my color combo, and would like to know what you all think would go best with my newly painted shafts.

I have 27 full length red, 22 full length white, and 6 full length "bright stripes" red and white on hand, but I am not opposed to ordering more of any of these colors, and have also decided to throw black in as a color choice with this combo.

The shafts were dipped in white Bohning lacquer, then red up to a point, leaving a white band up front.  I then crested with Bohning paints in red, black and gold.

So... what do you think?

You may choose THREE of your favorites.

Thanks in advance!

Glenn

I don't know I like a couple different ideas you have on the poll. I like the thoughts of splicing, but I'm not sure about the end splice.

Can you post a couple of pictures of the feathers themselves so we can see the actual combos.
make em pretty and shoot em straight.

The feathers I have are not cut yet - they are full length.  I also haven't decided on the cut yet.  That is another poll I'm thinking of posting, as it's time for me to get a 5" chopper.  I can't decide whether I want to stick with Shield Cut, or maybe try "Traditional", or "Pope and Young", or some other shape.  Decisions, decisions, decisions.    :help:     :D

You can choose 3 of your favorites out of the ones I listed.  I did that purposely, as I figured some of you might have more than one preference... kinda like I do.

All the best,
Glenn

2 red 1 black seems like it would go good with the whole arrow to me.

this was not on the list: 3 white with a small red splice on the cock feather. That too would make a sharp lookin arrow

It took me while to get here but now I always choose all one color. It makes flight monitoring easier and FINDING arrows easier.

Well... it looks like two choices have pretty much run away with the votes:

5" 3 fletch - 3 red, one of them with a white splice end

5" 3 fletch - 2 red, 1 black

Looking at both of these popular choices... I think I may go with:

5" 3 fletch - 3 red, with one of them with a white AND black spliced end.

Thanks for all the responses everyone.  I'll post some pics of the outcome once I get these spliced up and fletched.

All the best,
Glenn
