I'll keep you in the loop here bro....i want a tad bit more reflex to my limbs on this next hybrid i do....LOL....Yours came out with too much, & mine came out without enough....You are right....this can get spendy!!!!!  :scared:    :scared:

so i'll save some space, and a little plywood costs this way....i'm sure disappointed in the clear glass quality I've got from Binghams. i love the looks of the wood in these bows and don't much care for the black glass...but its definitely cheaper to work with....Mike Miller was telling me the black glass is a tad bit faster too...????? is that the same as "Red cars go faster"???? is he pulling my leg here? or what?

Chisler

Thanks for showing how you do it Kenny. Luckily I'm learning more from tradgang than I am from my mistakes.  Love those "build alongs".

Heres what I did to her, don't hate me ,but it is a huntin bow! Painted just the glass with textured enamel(really is sorta coyote colored),the flash sorta overpowered the color. Was gonna camo paint it but stopped here for now. (OT,we're on the same page on the osage  here!)

Here she is ready to hunt,camo complete,B50 string,62" ntn,57# @28" , 507.5 grn arra-175 fps

No speed demon, but not too bad either!

Stay sharp, Kenny.

Ya didn't have to paint her!  I only got busted twice drawing with El Cheapo's black limbs.  Killed four deer and screwed up two other shots (tried to shoot back to my left while seated).  Last two deer were the week before Christmas - no leaves on the trees....black didn't seem to be a problem.

SOS

By the way, helluva job making the form and completing the bow in 5 hours....LOL!

kennym

Jeff, how ya been? How'd the bow lams work out for ya? I still haven't used the boo ya sent!!

Steve,I hadda paint her!! I have a couple does where I hunt that I swear are huntin me!!They actively search for me high and low!

On the 5 hrs,it was more like a couple weeks on the bow, just took 5 hours to type it!!! LOL
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Nice job Kenny. 13 degrees? That's where all the degrees are - down in MO. We don't have any up here in Iowa. Nice build along.

Kenny,
I have not got to use the lams yet.  Been really busy at work.  I have plans to work on a bow soon.  I like your how to on building a form.  The form is a lot harder to get right than it is to build the bow.

I have been doing research on making laminated bows.  I plan on making my first soon.  You have given me a few new ideas.  Great post and beautiful bow.  Thanks.

Jacob, About all I know About the little red x's is, if you right click on them and then right click on "show picture", the picture should show up. Hope it works for you.

I may be wrong and usually am... but sometimes the red X is what is left after a IMG has been deleted from a pic host site.

Then again,,, if you'd just hook up your xp-2000 modulator.......  :smileystooges:
