Broadhead sharping ?

You're not a moron. Sharpening is about 80% science and 20% personal preferance/technique. There is no black and white, set in stone, right or wrong way. Everyone has their own way of getting it done. The most critical thing is maintaining a constant angle. Some can do this freehand and others will need a jig of some sort.
Personally I can free hand sharpen a knife with my eyes closed BUT, I couldn't sharpen a broadhead nearly as well without a jig of some kind if my life depended on it.

I don't know how much you know about sharpening theory but if you want you can give me a call. I can at least give you some advice. I won't try to sell you anything. We could just cover a lot more ground in ten minutes on the phone than we could in ten days of posting.
