Just  got my 160 snuffers from 3rivers. WOW,these look sick! I've been shooting WW's for the past 4 years and I thought they looked big until I saw these.By the way can you fit 4 of these in a selway? Anybody else shoot these?

Panzer II

Yes, I am shooting them out of a 64# Thunderstick Longbow. I can get 4 into a Great Northern so I would imagine you could get them into a Selway.

Richie Nell

Panzer...How do you like the snuffers.  Tell me your experiences with them.

You can see the entry hole from a 160grn Snuffer 3-Blade.

Mysticguido,
Mind if I ask what poundage of bow did you shoot for that buck?

I see it now in a previous post. Good deer.

It's a great little bow...I got it used and fit me like it was made just for me... I took off the leather handle wrap and wrapped it with artificial sinew.

Steve in Canton

I can fit 4 inside of my selway with no problem.  I have the 6 arrow holder and I can layer them in fine along with a judo point for roaming.

George,
Those Snuffers look like they make great big holes in things. I bet the wind blowing through one of thoes holes might sound like one of those flour orange bear whistles.....LOL
Hey man whatever shoots good and quiet from your bow and makes ya happy is what counts.

That is my next question....What about the noise whistleing through the broadhead?  Any noise?

Also what about penetration?  Does the wide three blades slow it down enough to stay with tow blade grizzlys?

And... has anyone shot a bull elk with a snuffer?  What happened?

Thanks

Larry, can't wait to try them at Wildcat Ridge in winter bow.

Richie,

Two elk with Snuffers, pass thru on one, the other hit the off-side shoulder.

Two elk with WW, both pass thrus.  Knock off the tips a bit.

No noise that I can hear...but my hearing is less than great!

60#s, 2018 or 250 Heritage, 550 grains.

Beware of all enterprises that require a new suit.

Don't give up what you want most for what you want now.

I believe the broadhead was named because of what it did to elk...

Geez Richie--64#@29"--you could shoot anything thru anything with that setup!

Yep, I use snuffers. They weren't messing around when they designed that head! Awesome broadhead for smaller game! I love them!    :bigsmyl:

My favorite......yes you can get them it a Selway quiver...just need to get them oriented right to keep the blades and fletching apart.

Check out the 2004-2007 highlights forums to see how much I like these heads. All the critters I've killed with the exception of the "left handed story bow buck" were killed with big 'ol Snuffer 160's.

Noise is not a factor as long as they're mounted to spin true. Just like any other bh, tuned right, they fly just like a field pt.

This was my first kill with a big Snuffer. The shot was straight down out of a treestand. It left a huge hole & bloodtrail. The deer did not go 50 yards. Shot with a 54lb longbow. I am sold on `em.

I have used them for a number of years, they will put big holes in any game you hit!

BUCKY

I'll be using my WW's out of my 45# bow and the snuffers out of my 51#.I can't wait for the January season!
