Places to get information about making own gear
« on: June 03, 2014, 08:50:00 PM »
Not sure if this the right place for this posting.....

I have a 12 year old Grand Daughter and she has been learning to use a sewing machine for the last 1 and a half years. She and I would like to make our own hiking; hunting clothes and gear like leather and wool day packs; wool attachable bow quivers; pants, shirts  and jackets out of light to mid weight wool and/or that cotton that I have hear about that is real quite but quite expensive and old time hunters use to use it for warm weather hunting a lot I think.

Do members here do that kind of thing or can anyone point me in the right direction.

OH Yeah if we do stick with it will we will probably expand to make sleeping quilts for camping and other things.
