Well I went out today at my uncles and decided to sit through midday. He has deer and turkeys coming into his yard from his 7acres of woods, so I thought I would try to head them off. I was going to put up my portable ground blind but we were having gusts up to 50 mph today so instead I made one out of what mother nature provided. My blind is a huge tree that I was on the north side of facing west, in front of me, and back of me, and on the right side of me I built up with big logs, and brush. I sat from 10:30 till around 4:15. I looked around the south side of the tree, and see a flock coming up around 65 yards away. I stand up and get ready for them to pass in front of me and they never showed up. So I slowly peeked around the tree and some more slipped in from behind me about 50 yards away. BUSTED  :banghead:    :banghead:   They took their other freinds with them as well. Im starting to think its impossible to shoot one of those turkeys from the ground in a homemade blind. My hats of to you fellas that acomplished this huge feat!!!
