As I read what everyone said. It seems like thermacell and some patience is in order.

No reason to worry with bear spray. Bring bug spray.

As for hunting with Jerry, I know him decently well. Id prepare a taxidermy fund

It's just about time. I've been trying to shoot a little each day.  Got a few things left to get ready but that shouldn't take long. Talked with Jerry the other day should be a good hunt.  Getting pretty excited about it.    :bigsmyl:

Bear missiles ready. Put the sharks on some freshly fletched arrows. Hopefully we'll get to try them out.

Don't know what kind of seat you'll be sitting on for hours on stand, but a small utility trailer inner tube half inflated makes a great cushion. be sure to secure it so it won't fall when you stand up.

That just reminded me of the seats where I hunted. 2X6 lumber. I sat an all dayer and had to sit on my jacket and pack.

Ive been to quebec 16 times and I can assure you that you will not be with a better crew than Russell. My advice: forget bear spray, bring lots of thermacell stuff, and fish AS MUCH as you can.

Hey BrushWolf if your hunt is the last week of June my wife and I will be joining you. It is my first bear hunt over bait. I hunted Southeast Alaska for black bears chasing salmon. Also spot and stalk in Idaho. Haven't tagged one yet but I'm really looking forward to this way of hunting it sounds like lots of fun and even better lots of bears. Counting the days.......
Never go back the way you came

Wait for a good shot and aim for the middle.

Have you shot those sharks much?  Make sure they are well tuned.

Have fun!
