What inserts do I need for them?  I just realized I don't have any for these arrows?

Anyone have 1/2 dozen full length 2018's they wouldn't mind parting with?

Could someone point me in the right direction for some aluminums for a bow around 50@28, and I draw to 29.5?

I have some 2114's, would they work?

My arrow will have to be at least 29.75".
My bet is 2114 will be too weak for 55#, esp at the length you need them. I think you would be much better off with 2018.

As far as inserts go, they are pretty much specific to the shaft. You need to order some inserts for a 2114 shaft.

Edit: I just looked on Eastons site and 2113-2117 uses the same insert.

Daniel I might be able to fix you up I have some bare shafts 2018 a few have nocks but most just bare shaft no feathers or inserts almost 31" long.Kip

Aluminum (2016 @ 2115) and wood are the best. One day I'll try carbon to say I did, but I'm not one fixing what isn't broke.
One stick, one string and an arrow I'll fling!

I shoot 1916 camo hunters out of my long bow and 2016(500) game getters out of my recurve. I like aluminum because you can get a decent weight arrow with out weight tubes or putting 300 plus grains up front.

Kip is helping me out!  I am excited to see if what I hear about them is true!

I shoot aluminum arrows almost exclusively.  2020s for a 59# Pronghorn 3-piece.  2117s, 2018s, and 2016s for several recurves.  Aluminums seem to recover quicker after release than carbon arrows I have tried.

I finally settled on a 2219 for my Kanati. Bareshaft and paper tuned, best flight I've had out of any shaft. I'm happy!

Thats good Covey , for in the end its not the shaft or the head or bow that takes game , but the person behind all of it . just as now the choices we make are everything that matters , its personal . The time spent getting everything right , leading up to the moment you decide to take a life . To me it is very personal , almost spiritual , the moment I release the string everything is in slow motion , til the arrow hits the mark , then a some what odd feeling of gilt or remorse . Carry what you choose with confidence and be successful .

I hunt with carbons (Beman Centershot 500) but I have a bunch of 1916's that I use for 3D, the arrows are within 1gr of each other so it really works out well.
SWA Spyder

I had a dozen 1918s 24rst with both ends swaged.  They were the right length for a local fellow trad shooter, with 145 grain heads they were also the perfect spine.   I made six field points and six with 145 Ribtec broadheads.   he knows that they are rare and not replaceable and is as protective of them as a mother hen.   He already asked if he could borrow my deer cart for when he puts one through a deer, he seems pretty sure of himself.

I have aluminums, carbons (various) and wooden shafts. Play with all from time to time. Usually wind up shooting either 2016s or 3555 GTs

I'm an alum. arrow shooter also, I hunt with a Black Widow at 55@29". I mostly shoot 2117s and 2215s and I don't have any problems with penetration or durability

Gray Buffalo

I always shot aluminum or carbons until I got my hands on some sure wood shafts. can't stop the wood arrows unless I find a good supply of bamboo. I will shoot "Douglas-fir" or Bamboo.

Ive shot wood a lot too but aluminum is hard to beat.
About all I shoot anymore.

I got the arrows in from Kip.  I am assuming I need to get me a little stiffer spine.  I'm not sure why, but I seem to always need a stiffer than usual spine.

I am going to try to get my hands on some 2117's and then go from there.

Slickhead

I love wooden arrows , but my bow doesn't.
Haven't found anything that shoots better out of my Savannah than 2018's.

NIGEL01

I've been shooting an old Grizz for a few years now and when I go to the range or 3D shoots my quiver is filled with miss matched wood, carbon and aluminum.  After a while I kept noticing the one 2016 gamegetter would always hit where I wanted and flew straight.  So I finally traded a guy one of my quivers for a dozen autum orange eastons and love them!!
