Since my deer season is pretty much over I was looking at what is still in season and saw that goose is in until Feb. 11. Have any of you guys tried to goose hunt with a trad. Bow? Any advice would be appreciated I'm a very novice waterfowl hunter.

I was just telling my buddy last night next year I'm going to give it a try. Going to have to get plenty of flu flu arrows but it should be a lot of fun.

We've killed 78 honkers so far this season over decoys and lots of shots from 15-20yds and everything else. I've talked about shooting them with my bow for weeks now. Looking forward to it, it's doable for sure.

Most challenging....was guiding one of today's most publicized traditional trick shots...he missed all three shots.

A goose may cover 13' in one wing beat and if he kites, then that is another game.

Most of my shots there setting right down in front of my blinds, feet down head up chest out. When there about 5' off the ground there committed for sure    :bigsmyl:

Good calling, good decoys and the right spreads can get them plenty close. Passing shots, yep that's a challenge right there. I hunt over water and fields and build my own blinds so I'll modify one of them just for shooting my bow out of.

That's a really cool blind right there. I will probably do more research and get some of the right gear before I try it.
