New Easton FMJ autumn orange 6MM shafts

I see they have them in the new 6mm shaft size.  Do you think they will come out with them in the original 5mm shaft?  I think it was the mid 70's they came out with the original AO shafts.  I shot a lot of AO 2016's through my kodiak hunter back then. The AO was easier to find when stumping.

I would love it if they offered the 5mm FMJ's in the AO or the Dougherty Gray from the old days.  It seems the simple anodized would be slightly cheaper than the pattern they use now.

From what I understand the 6mm shafts are the same size as the old Easton Excel shafts... and use a different insert...

The original Axis and FMJ are 5mm...

The deep 6 fit an even smaller shaft if I'm not mistaken...

At least that was the info I got from the pro shop...

I checked their website. These are a special limited shaft that seems to be a short lived offering. Im pretty sure they do not take deep six components but have standard threads for field tips and briadheads. They also have a dealer search app. They are a skinnier version of the FMJ.

They take the H nock and RPS insert
So the same as the beman centershot shaft

Anybody have any idea about brass insert replacements for the RPS inserts? When the centershots first came out 75 grain brass inserts were the heaviest available. I really like these arrows, but I would also like some heavier inserts. Thanks

Love the look of these but once again one cannot buy heavy enough spine. Most trad arrows stop at 330 spine. What if you wanted to shoot a heavier tip (250-300 grain) and got longer draw?

I shoot 300 spine for the moment at #56. My new bow arriving in March will be around #64 so 250 spine will he needed. I wish axis traditional had a .260 option like the regular axis. These shafts would be awesome... alas in heavier spine.

All mine measure 7mm O.D with calipers.

But these use standard 8-32 points, not the special Deep Six 6-32.

The original FMJ are what they now refer to as 5mm.  I think that refers to the in side diameter as the outside diameter is about 7mm.  The ones that use an x nock are original FMJ.

Right on. The Deep 6 are the 4mm and use special 6-32 points. The standard FMJ we are all used to are 5mm and use the HIT insert, and these are a little larger at 6mm and use more of a "standard" insert.

There is a brass insert for the H nock sizes as well. It's a 75-50 break off style similar to the HIT inserts.
