You guys haven't quit for gun season have ya?

30 to 40 mph wind tomorrow, so I'm putting new lights in my shop. Saturday will be cold with NW wind, gonna go back to the stand I shot the buck from the other day.

Did see what I thought was a buck in the dark coming home from work tonite. A big lone deer in a cornfield, couldn't make out any rack on it tho.

I haven't quit.  Just doing my time at work.  I have to work the next 3 days, then off Monday, then work Tuesday and Wednesday.  After that though, 8 days off.  Can't wait to get back in the woods.

I was just kiddin you all! I've killed some does with bow during gun and passed a few bucks, would sure like to shoot one in that wonderful orange!!

Been out but not hunting, helping bro plant some warm season grass. Great deer bedding!

Hunters I've talked to aren't seeing much, not surprised tho. Bucks prob holed up with does, should get better again next week or so. Up here anyway.....

I hope that's the case.  I have 8 days off coming up and am itching for it to get here.  I'm having a tough year finding the bucks I have a lot of pics of, but if I have some good North winds I have an idea of where I can find one.

I hunted pretty hard the first 4 days of the orange season and just saw a bunch of 2-year-olds out looking for love.

Out this am, 1 doe and a bunch of squirrels.  Heard a lot of turkeys talking and a couple gobbles.

Had a 2 1/2 yr old 8 pointer come by last night. Had 3 does come in behind me this morning and picked me off. Had a small buck cross below me and caught my wind also. Moved that stand again

Saw a pretty good buck this morn in dark while I was driving to work. He wasn't with a doe, just cruising.  May start getting better now!

Well my wife got a nice 8 pointer with the gun this morning. We had 3 years worth of pics of him. I was sitting with the bow when I heard her shoot. I'm excited for her and proud of her too. Time for a trip to the taxidermist.

He was cruising for does and happened to find some right in front of her stand. He was walking towards the does when she shot him.

Kenny, I sure hope you're right....  It has been very dismal for me this year....  getting all kinds of pics after hours, but cannot, for the life of me, get a shot on a deer during legal shooting light.....  I'm sure that the orange army has things screwed up some, but daggone!

4 day weekend coming up, should have good amount of time in the trees.
Meeting my cousin at the farm Friday morning, other days Ill be on some public ground in between family gatherings.
