Cannon if I were you, I would buy one first and find out the particulars that you like for the design. You can order a new one and get it named that if you wish as well. I do like the scheme of mixing a yew base with cedar juniper veneers.

dragonheart

I would stay with one material instead of a combo.  Juniper and yew are very similiar.

On pig hunting get the wind on them.  If their noses bust you, you will have em looking at you.  If they are rooting or feeding, move when the nose is down.  Pigs can get kinda preoccupied and you can get in for a good shot.  Give the hog time when you shoot one.  No need to rush in.  They are a strong critter and if you push then can run along ways before they die.  Things can happen fast.  Be prepared.  If you question the shot placement, go get some back and a firearm.  Pigs can get a little nasty when wounded and cornered.  Have fun!

x2. if there feeding walk softly and sneak up on them, make sure the wind is in your favor.

I need to send a link to the Howard Hill Longbow slide show to a friend who wants to buy a Hill bow.

I used the search feature but still can't find it. Does anyone know which page it is on?

One look at the slide show and he will be ruined for sure!

Rik-

The longbow slide show was on the first page, for some reason it has been removed. I would contact Rob D.(moderator), I bet he could help you out.

Rob found the link for me. Not only did I send it to my friend, but I watched it again, and probably enjoyed it more than the first time I watched it. That photoshopped bull of mine made me laugh all over again. I hope you guys will forgive me for that photo, I was feeling a bit overly creative that day.

Here's the link Rob provided. Save it to your favorites, it's worth watching once in a while just to get all those great vibes!

Rik,

I know you are thankful to Chuck A. for letting you hunt one of his honeyholes to get that very special bull.    ;)

It is a cool slide show.  Another thanks to Rob for putting that together.

How cool would it be for Howard Hill Archery to have that slide show running on a screen to the side of their booth at big archery event?

Methinks many many converts.

dragonheart

Yes, it would get people thinking and interested.

It was good seeing that slideshow again. Thanks Rob.

Rik-

I like your idea.

If Howard Hill Archery would do a slide show to run at their booth, they would probably want bows they made only.

If someone could make a slide show, we could send them our pics using Hill bows to make a "Tradgang Hill Guys" video.

Than we could send it to Craig, but we may want to see if Craig would be interested. When he goes to a show, he would also have to bring a monitor to run the slide.

Would a 62" Howard Hill Archery longbow be too short for a 27 1/2" draw length?
Aim small, miss small!!

arrow flynn

most definitely you want 68 inch to experience the way the way they shoot .craig probably would try and talk you you out of a bow of his design that short.imho

I would agree if you love the feel of hill style long bows
But, my go-to tight cover hunting bow is a 60" reverse handle
Howard Hill Longbow, this is not R/D if you have seen a reverse handle tempo that's what it looks like just short
Shoots hard, fast and dead on accurate. The configuration is
4 lams of bamboo snakewood grip with a silver inlay on each
side 60# @28.  My other 7 hills are either 68" an 70"

Last time I watched that slideshow I guess I missed my own mug.  Need to be careful what I post I guess.  It's a funny world if I end up pictured in my pajamas drawing my owl at the HHA booth someday...
