Nate Steen .

Sorry Rob,  didn't see your post.....yes that's what I was referring to.  anyone can spray some poly over the decal if they decide they want to keep it there permanently.  If not, it's easily removed.

maybe two sizes?  a long slender decal for the belly of the limb,  and a smaller, round decal for the side of the grip... :)

The pictures make it a bit yellowed...but I just shot my new Hill T/D, my elk bow. 68" Halfbreed. I am very pleased. Beautiful too.

A friend of mine finally converted to traditional archery this past summer, and bought a Wesley special from me, his handle is typical2.  Here is the early fall fruits of his hard work and labor. His FIRST shot with a stickbow at a live game animal...not bad!!

Red Tailed Hawk

Overspined thats a beaut!!

Congrats to your friend on his first trad kill.
I'm drinking from a saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed

Dealing with bowyers...I have a Hill bow 1 1/2 years old that I just can't get used to.  It's the grip.  I sent Craig an email and he said basically tell him how I want it, and he will do it for me, no charge. Great service wouldn't you say?  I was surprised to be honest. I would think the extra labor would  be charged by many bowyers.

All this talk of new bows got me going, just got off the phone with Mr Miller, the wait begins...

Could you post more pics of that takedown?  Maybe compared to a one piece.  What size sleeve is that?

Sure, I'll post a few comparison pics.  I have a 68" 1 piece redman too, so they are half brothers...I love shooting yew. (not you). It is the small sleeve takedown.

If these darn iPhones handled flash I would post pics a whole lot easier...

tadpole

Overspined, very nice looking bow.  Had a redman at one time, great shooting bow!

Is it me or is this the longest thread ever?

tradlongbow

Ok, so the one piece has a longer grip, and it would have taken me some time to notice but the T/D has a lot more reflex. I just got it...well yesterday morning. I am sending the one piece back in for a grip adjustment. So here is a Redman 68" and a Halfbreed 68" T/D with the small sleeve. The one piece will soon have a teardrop shape grip. When I was shooting the T/D, I thought it had some extra zip. I think the extra reflex plays a role.

I feel almost like an expectant father as I know for a fact that my new Sunset Hill is in the process of being "knitted" together at the hands of a master.

Picture this in your minds eye, 66 inches long with brown back and ivory belly, Myrtle handled beauty at my draw weight.

I think I have reached the pacing stage....lol

God bless,Mudd

Mudd-

Craig emailed me on Monday, he received the tiger myrtle that I bought. Now the wait begins, I'm waiting till June. This bow is going to have a special meaning.
