What Longbow has a Grip like a Martin X-200?

Hi all,

I own a Martin X-200 and I love it. The grip just feels like it was made for my hand.

Unfortunately, that hand has a ruptured flexor tendon on the ring finger, and the more acute angle of a recurve tweaks the nerves there rather painfully.

The greater angle on a longbow doesn't do the same, however...but the longbows I've shot just don't feel as good in my hand.

Does anyone have any recommendations on a longbow I might try that has a thin grip like the X-200?

The shrew I owned had a thinner grip.  Some turkey creek bows have thinner grips.  The thunderstick I have has a thin throat area.  If you get a bow made custom the bowyer can most certainly thin the grip out within reason to suit your needs.

Right now I have a 21st Century Carbon Edge...and while it's a sweet shooter it feels...chunky...in my hand.

I would think that most custom bowyers would be able to custom shape a grip for you.

My Sarrels longbows all have very skinny grips.

Sarrels and Tall Tines LONG BOW grips do appear to be close to your bow. I don't know about any others.
