That's funny Allen. I got a Columbian longbow this summer with Bolivian rosewood and figured myrtle. It too is a great combination. I have no doubt you're going to love the way that bow shoots.

Cool Springer

Another beauty Allen.
I know, I know, so many bows, so little time.

I just wish you weren't a short lefty.  I never get to shoot any of your new toys   :(

48# at 28" sounds right in my wheel house.  Merry Christmas Allen, hope you have a great new year.

Allen, the forecast for the next few days will keep many of us inside. We sure could use a test review by Wednesday. After that I hope cool weather will let me out of this house   :banghead:
no rush just kick it up a notch!I would have wore out a string by now just sayin!

A.S.

Howard, I was able to get out and shoot it quite a bit at mid day today. I know not every bow fits every Archer, but this one is going to work out very well for me.

It usually takes me a few days to get a new bow shooting just how I like it. I have this Blacktail pretty well tuned in after less than 100 arrows though it.  I can't wait for 3D season to start in a few weeks!

Possum Head

So tell us about the arrows you are shooting.

A.S.

I draw 27", so it's right at 45# for me. I am shooting my trusty Carbon Express Thunderstorm SEs (predecessor to the Heritage 90), with a 125 gr point.  These arrows shoot awesome out of just about every bow I have tried them on.

I strung her up with an 18 strand Fury string with one small set of rubber whiskers. After just a little tuning, it is quiet and very quick.

I will get my chrono out in a day or so to compare it to my other bows, but I know Blacktails are great performers.
