Why am I afraid??

I've never had any luck at it and maybe I'm not doing it long enough, hands usually start hurting and I give it up, buck grunts and decoys are what have worked best for me!

I was checking out a new area a couple years ago during hunting season. I found a good run and a nice log to sit on.

I couldn't see very well so I thought I'd gently break some limbs. Fat chance!! Dry white pine the size of your finger. Each one sounds like a fire cracker!

So I said screw it, lets get it over with and then sit all day. I must have broken 50 limbs and branches in a minute or so.

when I was done I stood back to admire my handi-work.  Look left-clear shooting lane.  look right- clear shooo..... Nice buck ... holy craap.

I picked up my (not a bow) and had venison for supper.


I've never purposely rattled in a deer,but I don't think you can do it wrong   :D

It does seem like getting them in bow range without getting busted would be a challenge
