Be careful when picking out a new tree for your stand. A bow hunter in Leroy Twp, Lake county Ohio was found crushed to death under his tree Saturday night.  He was strapped into his harness ,but the tree was rotted out at the bottom.  He was 20 feet high when the tree gave out and crushed him.  Firefighters went searching when he did not come home after 11pm. Be very careful!!!!  I guess the tree looked fine from the outside.. I did not see it but that is the word on the street.

I just posted about this a few weeks ago. I have often thought about this happening while in stand. If you are strapped in you have no where to go. You cant even attempted to jump away. Man this is unfortunate and I am sorry to here this.
