I tried still hunting saturday haha

Saturday was opening day here in Pa. It was pouring down rain and blowing like crazy. I'm hunting a brand new property and I hadn't prepared for an east wind.
So with all the excitement of a little kid at christmas, I decided to give still hunting a go. I waited until daylight to start. I was using a logging road on the west edge of the property. I swear everything looked like a deer or a piece of a deer. About 4 hours in, I was heading down another logging road back to my truck. I was standing taking it all in, looking at a possible tree stand location. I'm not sure how long I was standing there. I turned my head back in the direction I was traveling and roughly 15 yards ahead of me on the logging road was a doe! We both saw each other at the same time and her eyes looked as big as pie plates. I'm still not sure who was more surprised. My heart was racing as well as hers was, I'm sure.
I had a good laugh at my own expense.

Great encounter!! At least you got out. I had a wedding to attend in the afternoon and wont get out till this Wednesday. Good luck to you bear bowman!

That's the best of the "hunting experience" right there. I wonder if the doe was laughing?
