Ive got an A riser with #1 limbs, and the first few times i pull it it creaks, want to hunt with it this year, ive taken silicone and lubed the latches, put tiny drops of oil on screws and such, and it still does it. Anyone else have this problem, would it be just the fit, and thats the way its going to be?

Take moleskin or the soft side of Velcro and line the ends of the limbs and any area of the limb but , just making it a tighter fit. This has always fixed it for me...

I can put up a pic later...

This may sound crazy but make sure noise is not coming from the string contacting the limb grove. I use thin foam (the kind used to pack dishes for moving) between limbs and the socket. Usually only happens one time when I assemble bow, then all is quite.

Electrical tape works great for adjusting the fit.

I had the same problem.  I ended up using some bicycle tubing between the limb and limb pocket.  It made the limb fit a lot more snug and got rid of the noise.

I called Bear archery about the same problem. They told me that they receive a lot of calls about the limbs popping. They told me to put mole skin on the ends of the limbs. I bought self adhesive mole skin at Wal-Mart, I then wrapped a small piece around the end of both limbs. It worked perfect.
Bear also said that they are currently researching different types of material to send with the bow when they are purchased. After installing the mole skin, it made the limbs fit good and tight. No more popping.

Just put moleskin over the butt ends of limbs, worked perfect, no more creaking.  Thanks guys!

I clean the contact points on the riser with acetone and a Q-tip. Steel wool [4/0] on the limbs. As the paint on the riser breaks down, it causes the creeks and moans. Someday all the paint will be gone and the bow should stay quiet.

I had a B mag bow, new back in 84 that popped when first strung up and drawed.

Put some string wax, textite, on the limb ends and it did the trick!  It stays soft, even in cold weather!
