I have a Morrison Dakota the spwecs are 56#@30"@60" and I draw 30" and put 5" fleathers on them. I am going to cut the arrows to 31.5" and use a 125gr point or higher if I need to.I was looking into getting carbon express heritage arrows but I do not know what spine I shoot. I was wondering if you guys can help me out because I do not want to make the wrong decision. Also I was wondering is it better to be a little overspined or a little underspined?

Bird Dog

you'll need the 250s. I believe they run about 11 gpi. If your slightly overspined you can shoot heavier heads to soften them up.

350s with 200 up front shot real nice from my 59@30 Dakota

I would think at 56 lbs, 200 up front woud be a bare minumum to soften the spine if you went with the 350s.

So even at 31.5 long arrow 250 would be spined right? I am just making sure because I bought some beman 400 mfx calssic with a 125gr point and they fly horrible. Everyone told me that they are way underspined AFTER I bought them(it was my fault). I just do not want to go through the same thing with these new ones.

Gil

Try trading your Beman's for 340 or 300's.

I just got off the phone with 3rivers and they told me to go with 350 because it would be easier to fix a overspined arrow then a underspined arrow. They said that I was right on the border of the two. I do not know what to do. I have 100grain inserts I can through into either arrow.

If you plan on using the 1nserts with your 125s then the 350s should do it. The only way I know to stiffen a weak spine is to add weight to the nock end.

wchsmatt

Do you think that the 350 would be fine without the 100gr insert?

Bird Dog

Hard to say. If your bow is cut to center or slightly beyond you might be OK. Vermonster13 can probably help you out there.
