Nope, cannot be done unless the bow limbs are shortened and the bowyer who made it says he can do it, and it is already pretty short at 52". If it was a 3 piece, would be easy, just purchase new limbs.

Even if a bowyer could do it I would venture a guess it might cost just about as much as a good used bow with the required poundage...I welcome any excuse to buy another bow...right now mine is that I might not be able to shoot as much draw weight in a few years...well that and I need some heavier draw weight bows to keep in shape right now...and of course the usual "that bow is too nice looking to not have one"

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

Ya going buy a new bow any way and keep 42# bow good for caribou and lots of non tieing shooting thanks everyone

Just pull it 3 inches further back.   :D

I have laminated another .020 layer of glass on the belly of a few bows and raised the weight about  10-12#. I would not shorten the limbs on that bow.
